Marc W. Reissner, D.D.S. is our founding periodontist. He is a graduate of Syracuse University and Case Western Reserve
University School of Dentistry. After dental school, Marc completed a general practice residency at the Cleveland Veteran's
Administration Hospital. Before specializing, Dr. Reissner practiced general dentistry. Marc received his Certificate of
Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontology from the School of Graduate Dentistry at Boston University. After completing his
specialty training, Marc fulfilled a lifelong dream of living near the mountains. He began this Denver practice in 1981.
Marc was a Clinical Instructor of Community Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University.
At the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, Dr. Reissner was a Clinical Assistant Professor. He was also published in
the Journal of Periodontology (the official publication of the American Academy of Periodontology).
There have been many advances in periodontics over the last twenty-five years, particularly in the areas of cosmetic periodontal
surgery, regeneration of lost gum and bone due to disease or trauma, and the replacement of missing teeth with dental
implants. Dr. Reissner annually takes advanced training in these areas.
As an active member in metro-Denver's dental community, Dr. Reissner gives "lunch and learn" presentations
to dental offices on various periodontal and implant dentistry topics. He also speaks to dental study clubs biannually
and sponsors dental implant seminars for general and restorative dentists.
Marc has been married almost thirty years, and is the proud father of three young adults.
He is an avid road and mountain cyclist.
