Dental 3-D printing has arrived at Altura Periodontics.

Dental technology has been improving at an incredible rate for the past several decades, leading to leaps and bounds in the quality of care for people around the world.  One of the most important and exciting developments in dental technology in the past decade has been the advent of 3D dental imaging and printing. However, most people likely aren’t even aware of what 3D dental technology is, that’s how new it is!

At Altura Periodontics,  the Premier Dental Implant Center of Denver, we always strive to provide our patients with the latest in technology and we’re pushing the boundaries of digital dentistry–including making it possible to manufacture high-quality 3D printed dentures through a digital workflow that’s streamlined, end to end.

Altura has recently purchased one of the most advanced 3-D printers, the “Form 2” from Formlabs.  At the heart of the machine is a powerful optical engine: a 250mW precision laser is guided by custom-built galvanometers, delivering big prints with spectacular detail. 3-D printing isn’t just for the lab anymore. The Form 2 3-D printer can be used for applications such as creating study guides, surgical guides, and bone models.

Using this printer in combination with implant planning software will allow our team of periodontist to plan and fabricate highly accurate surgical guides in the office. In addition to some of the aforementioned applications, future applications might include clear aligner therapy and possibly partial and full dentures.

When it comes to dental technology, Altura prides itself on being at the forefront with the latest in 3-D printing.  Is your family looking for quality implant dentistry service on the cutting-edge of technology? Do you want to learn more about 3D dental printing? Contact us today to learn what services we can offer you and your family.
