Course Description:

Even though preventive dentistry has made great strides in reducing the incidence of tooth loss and its ensuing effects on the dentition; there still exists a demographic that is either unaware of or unable to avail the benefits of these advances to preserve their dentitions. As a result, we often see patients in our practice with mutilated dentitions. Tooth loss, faulty restorations, traumatic injuries, genetic defects (malposed/ malformed/ missing teeth) all contribute to these mutilations in the dentition.

Goals:

  1. Illustrate examples of clinical situations where interdisciplinary treatment improves outcome.
  2. Assist in developing a sequenced approach to clinical situations
